My life is so busy these days. We reflect often on the fact that we were homeless just last year. It was such a good experience for us. It didn’t feel that way at the time but God was so good to us through you and many other people. We look back favorably on that season of our lives. We moved from the fifth wheel directly into a 4 bedroom house which was such a blessing. Our landlord feels that this house is too small for us so he is trying to buy a 5 bedroom house to rent to us since my son and daughter in law are living with us. Yes, I am still doing in home care. I work 4 12 hour shifts overnight for a man who has Alzheimer’s. If/when we get the bigger house we are planning on re-opening a home daycare because while I love working with the elderly, working with children is my passion. Ashley, (19) is working as a nanny for my sister and has come to the conclusion that God is leading her into the ministry. She wants to become a youth pastor and is making plans to start Bible college. Kyler, (17) is graduating in May and has been accepted to sac state where he plans to start in the fall. He wants to go into construction engineering. Carmen, (16) has her heart set on Berkeley and wants to study criminology and psychology. Both Kyler and Carmen are going to Cuba next month for two weeks with their school and all three kids are going to Mexico in July with our church on a missions trip to build a house for a family in need. God is really moving in our family. Ashley and Carmen were both just baptized on Easter Sunday. I hope that all is well with you and your ministry. You will never fully know what a blessing you were to us.
Thank you for helping all these people including my son and I. It’s comforting to know that EMM is guided by people that truly care and make personal sacrifices for individuals and families who are in dire need. EMM has brought me peace of mind and the dignity to help me lift myself out of my situation. I am very grateful and still overwhelmed by the kindness Tyler and I were given.
